About Lentikats

Lentikats is a revolutionary biotechnology that makes it possible to encapsulate (immobilize) free enzymes or cells into a solid polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) carrier. PVA (hydrogel) features outstanding, excellent physical-mechanical properties that provide long time mechanical stability; moreover, it is non-toxic and hardly biologically degradable.

Our applications are focused primarily to the development, production and application of lentikats as biocatalysts. These technologies have been developed and tested for a number of years. In the past two years, they arrived at the stage of operational applicability in a number of fields. Among them are, for example:

• Waste water treatment of industrial waste waters 
• Distillery - bioethanol production
• Pharmacy - production of robust biocatalysts
• Food industry

Among other revolutionary applications are the processing of waste arising during biodiesel fuel production - waste glycerol waters.
