Lentikats biotechnology has been investigated by means of the following projects since 1999:
| Project: | Denitrification: Verification of a possibility of using Lentikats biotechnology for the elimination of nitrogen pollution type N-NH4+ and N-NO3- in the wastewater from lay-by's and fuel stations' wastewater treatment plants with high concentration of N-NH4+ a N-NO3- |
| Partner: Duration: Project goal: | Institute of Chemical Technology Prague, Department of Water Technology 3/2008 – 9/2008 Testing of Lentikats biotechnology for the elimination of high concentration of nitrates from industrial wastewater in order to propose a technology for industrial application. |
Project: | Decrease of concentration of nitrogen pollution N-NO3- from cold drinking water |
| Partner: Duration: Project goal: | Institute of Chemical Technology Prague, Department of Water Technology 1/2008 – 5/2008 Testing of Lentikats Biocatalyst for the elimination of high concentration of nitrates from industrial wastewater using suitable microorganisms with the goal to propose a technology for industrial application. |
Project: | Introduction of Lentikats biotechnology for the elimination of nitrogen pollution type N-NH4- a N-NO3- from the wastewater of lay-by's and fuel stations' wastewater treatment plants. |
| Partner: Duration: Project goal: | Institute of Chemical Technology Prague, Department of Water Technology |
| Project: | Elimination of nitrogen pollution (N-NH4+, N-NO2-, N-NO3-) and COD (BOD5) from municipal wastewater without N-NO3- formation utilizing continuous Lentikats biotechnology. |
| Partner: Duration: Project goal: | UJEP, Faculty of the Environment 1/2008 – 6/2008 Proposal for optimal operating conditions of continuous operation of Lentikats biotechnology for the elimination of nitrogen pollution (N-NH4+, N-NO2-, N-NO3-) and COD (BOD5) from municipal wastewater by using Lentikats Biotechnology without the production of N-NO3-. |
Research and implementation of the production of immobilizers of microbial cells (1999 - 2001)
Project: | Development and implementation of the production of immobilizers of microbial cells Increasing the export capacity of Czech industry Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic BCS Engineering Brno a.s. MEGA a.s. 01/1999 - 12/2001 Implementation of the production of immobilizers of microbial cells in hydrogel and their use during continualization of fermentation processes in the brewing industry, wine making, production of organic acids, during bioconversions in the pharmaceutical industry and when removing residual substances in drinking and surface water by means of immobilized microorganisms. |
Encapsulated cells - their preparation and use
| Project: Program: Task definition by: Chief researcher: Duration: Project goal: | Encapsulated cells - their preparation and use KONSORCIA Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic MEGA a.s. 06/2001 - 12/2003 The final goal of the project is the implementation of the production and use of encapsulated microbial cells during the production of primary and secondary metabolites of microorganisms, extracellular microbial enzymes, biologically active substances, important from the point of view of the food industry, pharmaceutical industry and cosmetics, by means of encapsulated plant cells and the use of microbial cultures and colonies during the treatment of drinking water and final purification of industrial and municipal waste water. |
Application of immobilized cells and enzymes in biotechnological processes
| Project: Program: Task definition by: Chief researcher: Duration: Project goal: | Application of immobilized cells and enzymes in biotechnological processes IMPULS Department of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic MEGA a.s. 06/2004 - 12/2006 MEGA a.s. In the framework of applied research, the final goal of the project is the implementation and semi-pilot verification of technologies with immobilized microbial producers and enzymes used in the production of alcohol, in food technologies and biotransformations used in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of semisynthetic antibiotics derived from penicillins and cephalosporines. |
