Who are we?

As a company, LentiKat's a.s. was founded in April 2006. Its ownership structure solely consists of Czech nationals and corporate bodies. The company's focus is on Lentikats Biotechnology, i.e. an original technology for the encapsulation of bacteria, enzymes or microorganisms in a so-called “Lentikats Biocatalyst”.

Lentikats Biotechnology was discovered by Professor Doctor Klaus-Dieter Vorlop of the University in Braunschweig (Germany), but it was a Czech company that first started using the technology in industrial applications, followed by LentiKat's a.s. since 2006.

Lentikats Biotechnology is protected and patented in dozens of countries worldwide.

The company’s objective is to promote this revolutionary technology in various industrial applications all over the world. This mainly concerns manufacturing, development, and application of the Biocatalysts for industrial use in the following fields:

• Pharmaceutical industry - production of robust biocatalysts,
• Food processing industries,
• Distilleries - ethanol production processes,
• Wastewater treatment.

LentiKat's a.s. has been successfully cooperating with several renowned companies worldwide and is also involved in a number of scientific and research projects with  leading universities.
